This is the second of two stories I pitched and produced in Mississippi in the wake of the George Floyd protests in the summer of 2020. We looked at how small towns in rural parts of the country tend to get overlooked in discussions around police brutality, and filmed during the first racial justice protest in Hattiesburg since the Civil Rights Era.
